Treatment of disease, disorder or injury (TDDI)
Regulated activity: Treatment of Disease, Disorder or Injury (TDDI)
Top Carers Nursing Agency is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) to carry out the regulated activity Treatment of Disease, Disorder or Injury, under the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014.
TDDI is a regulated activity when treatment is provided by, or under the supervision of, a healthcare professional. Our service is led by registered nurses who provide clinical oversight, supervision and lawful delegation of nursing tasks. This allows us to care safely for people with complex clinical needs in their own homes, and sets our service apart from non-clinical home care.
What our TDDI service covers
Our TDDI service provides nurse-led care for people who need treatment, monitoring or ongoing management of a disease, disorder or injury.
People with long-term, progressive, complex or life-limiting conditions often need care that is coordinated and clinically managed. Registered nurses develop, review and oversee each person’s care plan, and appropriately trained care staff deliver it. The service includes:
Long-term and complex conditions
Ongoing, structured care at home for people living with complex, progressive or terminal conditions. Clinical oversight ensures continuity of care, effective risk management and a timely response when needs change.
Physical and mental health conditions
Care tailored to the person’s diagnosed physical or mental health condition, designed to provide consistent support, reduce isolation and promote safety and wellbeing at home.
Oversight by a registered healthcare professional
All care delivered under TDDI is overseen by an experienced registered healthcare professional, who monitors clinical outcomes, reviews the care delivered and makes sure it remains clinically appropriate.
Palliative care
Care that focuses on symptom control, comfort and dignity, helping people manage pain and other symptoms while keeping as much independence and quality of life as possible.
Professional accountability
Professional healthcare titles, such as registered nurse, are protected in law. When we use a professional title, the person holds the relevant professional registration and works within their scope of practice.
Clinical care delivered under nurse governance
Under the leadership of our registered nurses, Top Carers oversees and supports the following clinical care:
